Research Ethics

Founding-stage policy

Research published by CIJ must meet recognised ethical standards for research involving children, including appropriate ethics approvals, informed consent and assent where applicable, and protection of children's data.

Authors must include an ethics statement with every submission, describing approvals and safeguards, or explaining why they are not applicable.

Submissions that do not meet these standards will not proceed to review.

CIJ does not currently claim membership of, or endorsement by, any external body.
