Global Child Index — v1.0 archive

Archived — v1.0

This is the permanent archive of Index v1.0: 9 indicators across four domains (Health & Nutrition, Education, Poverty & Water, Adolescent & Digital), data as fetched 21 Oct 2026. It is kept unchanged so that every v1.0 rank and score remains checkable, and so that movement between v1.0 and the current v1.1 can be decomposed into methodology effects (the indicator set grew from 9 to 16) and data effects (revised values on the original indicators). A rank change between versions is not by itself evidence that a country improved or deteriorated.

Methodology (v1.0)

For each indicator the most recent value published for 2010–2025 was converted to a 0–100 score using the fixed bounds below; a country’s score is the mean of its available indicator scores and coverage is the share of the 9 indicators with a recent value. All series were drawn from the World Bank’s World Development Indicators.
